THEiAA hosts the First Alumni Sharing Session for Engineering Students

THEi Alumni Association (THEiAA) and the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) organised the first Alumni Sharing Session on the path for the Chartered Engineers on 8 Dec 2021. Mr King Yiu and Mr Harry Leung, Civil Engineering alumni, shared their experiences and visions online and onsite with over 50  Engineering students and fresh graduates.

The sharing session introduced the nature of the work in building and infrastructure construction, experiences of “Scheme A” Training, the path to be a chartered engineer and updated development in the Hong Kong construction industry. King and Harry highlighted that the knowledge learnt in THEi was practical, and their learning experience was invaluable for their personal development.

King and Harry graduated from THEi with a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering in 2017. King is currently a Project Coordinator in the Civil Engineering and Development Department of HKSARG. Harry is now an Engineer I in the Build King. They are qualified members of the Institute of Civil Engineers Hong Kong.
