You are invited to be our Volunteer Tutor to continue offering Online English Class for Deprived Children in Myanmar!
A group of THEi students joined a Service-Learning trip to Yangon, Myanmar, in June 2019, during which they offered voluntary services to the deprived children and orphans of Lighthouse Community Centre and learnt through serving the needs of those children. As the pandemic is still happening around the Global, schools in Myanmar are still closed. Starting from January 2021, THEi SDO and L x M 勵.緬, a registered charity in Hong Kong, recruited a group of THEi students, as Volunteer Tutors, to conduct online teaching for deprived children and orphans of Lighthouse Community Centre located at Yangon, Myanmar.
We would like to call for your support to extend the service in the coming months.
As a Volunteer Tutor, you will have chances to:
- Join an online briefing session
- Form a volunteer tutor group with 3-4 students
- Deliver 4-6 sessions of online classes (1 hour each) in Jul – Aug 2021
- Earn international service experience
