On 26 Aug 2021 (THEi Chai Wan campus) and on 27 Aug 2021 (THEi Tsing Yi campus), a New Student Orientation Workshop: An Introduction to Education, Learning and IT Support, was organized by the Learning Commons for new students.
Topics included:
Physical and virtual learning resources, Learning Commons facilities and services;
Literature search and academic writing;
Moodle, Turnitin, Studiosity, and LinkedIn Learning; and
THEi mobile app, campus Wi-Fi, email, 2FA, VPN, and IT Services.
Mr Geoffrey TSUI and Miss Jasmine CHAN, Learning Advisors of THEi, hosted a session on, “Adapting to student life in higher education” for new students at the end.
Dr Andrew LIU, Assistant Librarian in Learning Commons, hosted a literature search and academic writing workshop for new students in Computer Room 306, THEi Chai Wan Campus. Mr Alex TSANG, Assistant Librarian in Learning Commons, hosted a session on learning resources, Learning Commons facilities and services for new students in Computer Room 306, THEi Chai Wan Campus. Mr Tommy FONG, Technician in Learning Commons, hosted Moodle, Turnitin, Studiosity, and LinkedIn Learning workshop for new students in Computer Room 306, THEi Chai Wan Campus. New students were attending the Learning Commons workshop in THEi Tsing Yi Campus Computer Laboratory TY703.
